The ESCRS ball will raise much needed funding to be distributed between ESCRS ophthalmic surgery programmes in low- and middle-income countries as well as material support to ophthalmic colleagues throughout Ukraine.
Over the last 18 months alone, ESCRS has contributed from its own reserves as well as collected funding and material support from sister societies, members and industry partners to deliver well over 2M Euros of aid directly to 26 ophthalmic departments throughout Ukraine.
Over the same period, we have granted more than 400,000 Euros - as well as providing training - for ophthalmic projects in Bangladesh, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, Palestine and South Sudan.
We would ask for your generous support in sustaining this effort. All administrative costs shall be borne by ESCRS.
