To create high quality open access datasets for research in cataract, refractive and corneal surgery. We will do this through the ESCRS Digital Research Awards program and digital health symposia at ESCRS annual congress meetings.
What are Open Access Datasets?
Open access datasets are designed to enable researchers anywhere to apply deep learning or conventional statistical analyses to pattern recognition and prediction in medical images and numeric data, guiding diagnosis, treatment selection and treatment planning. Open access datasets are typically built from de-identified healthcare data collected in the course of routine clinical practice.
