Iris reconstructive surgery
This video was the 2018 ESCRS Video Competition winner. The presentation describes the design of a large model of the anterior eye for strategising and practising iris surgery. Ten times larger than a typical human eye, the model can be used to practise a range of surgical manoeuvres, including incisions and suture techniques, using similarly scaled tools. The model also includes scale models of capsular tension rings and aniridic IOLs for placement in the sulcus and capsule.
