Silicone bandage lens

Geuder and LensWista have agreed on a sales cooperation for the first bandage lens from pure silicone. "The fields of application of the bandage lens are corneal injuries, PK, LASIK, crosslinking and recurrent corneal erosion," said a company spokeswoman. "Due to its eight times higher oxygen permeability compared to conventional contact lenses, this special contact lens from biocompatible pure silicone contributes to fast wound healing and significant pain relief. The innovative surface technology gives the lens a maximum and durable hydrophility," she said.
