FDA clearance for SPECTRALIS Anterior Segment Module

Heidelberg Engineering GmbH has announced that the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted clearance for the new SPECTRALIS Anterior Segment Module (ASM).
“The SPECTRALIS Anterior Segment Module paves the way towards digital gonioscopy,†said Sanjay Asrani MD, associate professor of ophthalmology, Duke University Eye Center. “Glaucoma surgeons will further benefit from the enhanced depth imaging (EDI) OCT capabilities of SPECTRALIS when assessing filtering blebs and anterior chamber angles.â€
