Purpose
To evalute astigmatic correction stability after implantation of toric IOLs in cataract surgery and phakic toric IOLs in refractive myopic astigmatic correction.
Setting
Ashraf Armia Eye Clinic and Watany Eye Hospital, Cairo, Egypt
Methods
Using the iTrace technology to calculate post operative astigmatic correction in post cataract patients with either mono focal toric or multifocal toric after 6 months of operations.
Also using the same machine for evaluating astigmatic correction results after using phakic posterior toric IOLs in cases of myopic astigmatic patients.
Results
ITrace was so usful for decting any rotaion that can be corrected in both categories and also to evalute how theses types of IOLs are stable or have some rotation degrees in my follow up.
Conclusions
Using ray trace technology is very useful in follow up and detection of the rotation or stability of astigmatic correction in all type of refractive surgery, either refractive cataract surgery or phakic refractive IOLs.
