MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Founded in 1991, the ESCRS is Europe's leading organization for cataract and refractive surgeons and is at the forefront of developments in anterior segment surgery. The society currently has 4,000 members from over 90 different countries worldwide. The ESCRS offers a unique forum for the discussion and learning that are essential for progress, and ensures that international expertise is shared by ophthalmologists all over Europe.

Full Membership
You are eligible to apply for full membership if You hold a degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent medical degree;
Trainee Membership (Resident/ Intern) *
You are eligible to apply for membership as a Member in Training if:
- You hold a degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent medical degree;
and
- You are engaged in a full-time ophthalmology residency training program

Note: Please note that applications for trainee ophthalmologists may not be submitted online.
* You must supply an original letter of verification from your training hospital to qualify for trainee membership. This letter must be on headed paper from your hospital with an official stamp and signed by your superior.
Trainees must print out the membership form and post/fax it to the ESCRS along with a letter of verification from your hospital to the following address
